I know it isn't possible to crossbreed cats and humans, but Vardeman makes it seem possible. This story has more twists and turns than a mountain road. The characters are very well fleshed out. The plotline is believable. The descriptions of the places in the story are described in an outstanding manner and I really loved the characters, even the villains. If you don't like this book you really do not like sience fiction/fantasy. A great read.Product details

Pretty good Sci-Fi but kind of predictable. Had to pause a minute to remember the plot line. Surface read only.
Love sci fi books. Always a favorite. Good books are sometimes hard to find and difficult to judge from small excerpt s.
This was an entertaining, easy read for vacation. Not really thought provoking, but it moved along quickly enough to hold your interest..
Enjoyed this one and looked for more by author. The female character was pretty weak, but the two "heroes" were interesting and had some depth to them...
so I read anything I can get. This story lacks the panache of Iain M. Banks or Alistair Reynolds but it's a great summer read. Lots of fun.
I enjoyed this book with it's twists and turns in an alternate universe. The plot is good, the characters believable, and the ending unexpected and satisfying
It is science fiction because it takes place on another planet and involves the trip there in a spaceship but the basic story is a shoot-em-up in a desert. There is a sentient species and a city of jewels but it still felt like a cowboy yarn to me.
